【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforthedesignandconstructionoftemporaryandpermanentbarrierstobeprovidedinandaboutbuildingsandplacesofassembly,suchbarriersbeingpositionedanddesignedtoprotectpersonsfromvarioushazardsandtorestrictorcontrolthemovementofpersonsorvehicles.ThisBritishStandardappliesto:a)barriersthatindicateroutes;b)barrierscapableofstoppingordivertingmovingvehiclesupto2500kgwithinareaswherevehiclespeedisrestrictedtoamaximumof16km/h(4.44m/s,10mile/h);c)walls,glazingandotherelementsofbuildingsorstructureswheresuchelementsactasprotectivebarriers.ThisBritishStandarddoesnotapplyto:—barriersforresistingimpactfromvehiclestravellingatspeedsgreaterthan16km/h,forexample,bridgeparapetsbeyondthecurtilageofabuilding,orhighwaysafetybarriers(seeBS6779);—barriersusedinbuildingoperationsandworksofengineeringconstruction;—safetybarriers,withorwithoutopeninggatefeatures,fortheprotectionofchildrenupto24months,wherethesafetyrequirementiscoveredbyaspecificsafetystandard,e.g.BS4125.
