【摘要】:StandardsforO3intheatmospherehavebeenpromulgatedbygovernmentauthoritiestoprotectthehealthandwelfareofthepublic(5)andalsofortheprotectionofindustrialworkers(6).AlthoughO3itselfisatoxicmaterial,inambientairitisprimarilythephotochemicaloxidantsformedalongwithO3inpollutedairexposedtosunlightthatcausesmogsymptomssuchaslachrymationandburningeyes.Ozoneismuchmoreeasilymonitoredthanthesephotochemicaloxidantsandprovidesagoodindicationoftheirconcentrations,anditisthereforethesubstancethatisspecifiedinairqualitystandardsandregulations.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthesamplingandcontinuousanalysisofozone(O3)intheatmosphereatconcentrationsrangingfrom10to2000x03BC;g/m3ofO3inair(5ppb(v)to1ppm(v)).1.1.1ThetestmethodislimitedtoapplicationsbyitssensitivitytointerferencesasdescribedinSection6.Theinterferencesensitivitiesmaylimititsuseforambientandworkplaceatmospheres.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
