【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverpolyvinylchloride(PVC)andorientedpolyvinylchloride(PVCO)pressurepipe,couplings,andgasketsforuseinundergroundfireservicesystemsandconnectionstosuchsystems.Thepipeiseitherthedistributionortransmissiontype.1.2DistributionpipecoveredbytheserequirementsshallbedesignatedasPressureClass165,235,and305forworkingpressuresof165,235,and305psig(1.14,1.62,and2.10MPa),respectively,andhaveanominalinsidediameterintherangeof4to12inches.1.3TransmissionpipecoveredbytheserequirementsshallbedesignatedasPressureClass100,125,160,165,200,235,and305forworkingpressuresof100,125,160,165,200,235,and305psig(0.69,0.86,1.10,1.14,1.38,1.62,and2.10MPa),respectively,andhaveanominalinsidediameterintherangeof14to48inches.1.4RequirementsfortheinstallationanduseofPVCpressurepipeandcouplingsarespecifiedintheStandardfortheInstallationofPrivateFireServiceMainsandtheirAppurtenances,NFPA24ortheStandardfortheInstallationofSprinklerSystems,NFPA13.1.5Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
