【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestheconditionsformeasurementoftensilepropertiesaofsinglefilamentofceramicfibresathightemperaturesinairorinertatmosphere(vacuumorcontrolledatmosphere).Themethodappliestocontinuousceramicfilamentstakenfromtows,yarns,staplefibre,braidsandknitting,thathavestraintofracturelessthanorequalto5%andshowlinearelasticbehaviourtofracture.Themethoddoesnotapplytotestingforhomogeneityofstrengthpropertiesoffibres,nordoesitassesstheeffectsofvolumeunderstress.Statisticalaspectsoffibrefailurearenotincluded.Twomethodsareproposeddependingonthetemperatureofthefilamentend:--Hotendmethod:thismethodallowsdeterminationoftensilestrength,ofYoung'smodulusandofthestressstraincurve.NOTE1Currentexperiencewiththistechniqueislimitedto1300℃,becauseoftheapplicationtemperatureofceramicglue.--Coldendmethod.NOTE2Thismethodislimitedto1700℃inairand2000℃ininertatmospherebecauseofthelimitsoffurnaces.
