【摘要】:ThispartofBS7291specifiesrequirementsandmethodsoftestforpolybutylene(PB)pipesandassociatedfittingsintendedforusewithinbuildingsfortheconveyanceofwater,includingdrinkingwater,andheatedwaterforuseindomestichotandcoldwaterdistributionandheatinginstallations.TheserequirementssupplementthegeneralrequirementsinBS7291-1,whicharealsoapplicable.NOTE1Beforereadingthispart,itisessentialthatBS7291-1isread.ThisstandardspecifiesgeneralrequirementsformaterialstobeusedfororintheformofPBpipes,withorwithoutabarrierlayerorassociatedfittingsandcomponents.ParticularrequirementsarealsospecifiedforPBpipealoneorjointedwithpush-fit,fusionorcompressionfittingsconformingtoBS7291orotherBritishStandardsintendedforusewithpipesconformingtothispart.ThispartofBS7291providesforpipesdimensionedtosuittwoestablishedmetricseries:BSISO4065forthermoplasticspipesgenerallyandBSEN1057,forcompatibilitywithcopperpipeworksystemswidelyusedfortheseapplications.ThisBritishStandardisapplicableonlytoClass“S”pipesandfittings.Itdoesnotspecifydimensionalrequirementsforfittingsbecausetheperformancerequirementsspecifiedforfittings,whentestedindividuallyorinassemblieswithpipe,areintendedtoensurethatthedimensionsofthefittingsaresatisfactoryforjointingpurposesandpressurecontainment.NOTE2Pipesandfittingsofnon-barrierPBaretosomeextentpermeabletooxygen;hence,iftheyareusedfortheprimarycircuit(s)ofaheatingsystem,itmightbebeneficialtoaddacorrosioninhibitortothefluidscirculatingtherein.Insuchacasethemanufacturer(s)ofthepipeand/orfittingshould,uponrequest,provideadviceinaccordancewithBS5955-8.Thisadviceshouldincludeselectionofacompatiblecorrosioninhibitorand/ormethodsforreducingthepermeability.
