【摘要】:1.1Thesoundisolationbetweentwospacesinabuildingisdeterminedbyacombinationofthedirecttransmissionthroughthenominallyseparatingbuildingelement(asnormallymeasuredinalaboratory)andanytransmissionalonganumberofindirectpaths,usuallyreferredtoasflankingpaths.illustratesthedirectpathsandsomepossiblestructuralflankingpaths.Additionalnon-structuralflankingpathsmayincludetransmissionthroughcommonairductsbetweenrooms,ordoorstothecorridorfromadjacentrooms.1.2Themainpartofthistestmethoddefinesproceduresandmetricstoassessthesoundisolationbetweentworoomsinabuildingseparatedbyacommonpartitionincludingbothdirectandflankingtransmissionpaths.Appropriatemeasuresandtheirsinglenumberratingsarethenoisereduction(NR)andnoiseisolationclass(NIC),thenormalizednoisereduction(NNR)andnormalizednoiseisolationclass(NNIC),andtheapparenttransmissionloss(ATL)andapparentsoundtransmissionclass(ASTC).WiththeexceptionoftheATLandASTCunderspecifiedconditions,theseproceduresareonlyapplicablewhenbothroomvolumesarelessthan150m3.Note1Theword"partition"inthistestmethodincludesalltypesofwalls,floors,oranyotherboundariesseparatingtwospaces.Theboundariesmaybepermanent,operable,ormovable.1.3providesmethodstoassessthesoundtransmissionthroughapartitionorpartitionelementwiththeinfluenceofflankingtransmissionreduced.Thesemethodsmaybeusedwhenitmustbedemonstratedthatapartitionhasachievedaspecifiedminimumsoundattenuation.Theresultsarethefieldtransmissionloss(FTL)andfieldsoundtransmissionclass(FSTC).1.4providesmethodstomeasurethesoundisolationbetweenportionsoftworoomsinabuildingseparatedbyacommonpartitionincludingbothdirectandflankingpathswhenatleastoneoftheroomshasavolumeof150m3ormore.Theresultsarethenoisereduction(NR)andnoiseisolationclass(NIC).Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
