【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminesthedegreeandrateofaerobicbiodegradationofplasticmaterialsonexposuretoacontrolled-compostingenvironmentunderlaboratoryconditions.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoyieldreproducibleandrepeatabletestresultsundercontrolledconditionsthatresemblecompostingconditions.Thetestsubstancesareexposedtoaninoculumthatisderivedfromcompostfrommunicipalsolidwaste.Theaerobiccompostingtakesplaceinanenvironmentwheretemperature,aerationandhumidityarecloselymonitoredandcontrolled.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoyieldapercentageofconversionofcarboninthesampletocarbondioxide.Therateofbiodegradationismonitoredaswell.Thistestmethodisdesignedtobeapplicabletoallplasticmaterialsthatarenotinhibitorytothemicroorganismspresentinaerobiccompostingpiles.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection8.1.6ThistestmethodisequivalenttoISO14852.
