【摘要】:Thetestmethodsareintendedtoberapidempiricaltestswhichmaybeusefulintherelativecomparisonofmaterialshavingthesamenominalthickness.Note28212;Whentheplasticmaterialcontainsplasticizer,lossfromtheplasticisassumedtobeprimarilyplasticizer.Theeffectofmoistureisconsideredtobenegligible.Correlationwithultimateapplicationforvariousplasticmaterialsshouldbedeterminedbytheuser.Toobtainacceleratedteststhatmorenearlyapproachactualserviceconditions,referenceshouldbemadetoSpecificationE197.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofvolatilelossfromaplasticmaterialunderdefinedconditionsoftimeandtemperature,usingactivatedcarbonastheimmersionmedium.1.2Twotestmethodsarecoveredasfollows:1.2.1TestMethodA,DirectContactwithActivatedCarbon8212;Inthistestmethodtheplasticmaterialisindirectcontactwiththecarbon.Thistestmethodisparticularlyusefulintherapidcomparisonofalargenumberofplasticspecimens.1.2.2TestMethodB,WireCage8212;Thistestmethodprescribestheuseofawirecage,whichpreventsdirectcontactbetweentheplasticmaterialandthecarbon.Byeliminatingthedirectcontact,themigrationofthevolatilecomponentstothesurroundingcarbonisminimizedandlossbyvolatilizationismorespecificallymeasured.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;Thisstandardissimilarincontent(nottechnicallyequivalent)toISO176-1976(E).
