【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheclassification,materialsofconstruction,workmanship,physicalrequirements,andmethodsoftestingglass-fiber-reinforcedpolyestercompositewallandceilingpanelsintendedforuseinlightconstructionandsemi-structuralapplications.1.2Supplementaryinformationonchemicalresistance,impactresistance,andinstallationpracticeareprovidedinAppendixX1.1.3Theclassificationofthesecompositepanelsintoclassesbasedonrelativeresponsetoalaboratorytestshallnotbeconsideredafire-hazardclassification.1.4Laboratoryflammabilitytests(TestMethodsE84andD1929)applicabletothisspecificationshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorconditions.However,resultsmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.1.5Theintentofthisspecificationistodefinetheclass,grade,andgenerallaminatepropertiesofthecompositewallandceilinglinerpanelsinordertoensureaqualityproductwhichwillperformintheintendedapplication.Thisspecificationisnotintendedtorestrictorlimittechnologicalchangesaffectingperformancewhenchangesareagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandmanufacturer.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.7Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseinTablesandFigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
